Ignite Fans können sich wohl kaum noch vor Neugier auf dem Stuhl halten. Schon letzte Woche meldeten sich die Orange County Musiker via Socials und kündigten die Aufnahmen eines neuen Albums an. Gearbeitet wird mit Cameron Webb. Wer die neue Stimme der Band ist, bleibt weiterhin offen. „The Ash Returns“ könnte ein wohlklingender Albumtitel oder eine Anspielung auf Joe Nelson sein.
Rehearsals done. Writing done. Next week we’ll have coverage from the recording studio with legendary producer Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Alkaline Trio, Pennywise, NoFx, etc). It’s time for a new Ignite album. We have been getting a few specific messages asking if our singer is somebody who has sang in Ignite before and the answer is, no. Nobody in Ignite saw each other for the first 10 months of 2020. From January to October we basically all stayed home and worked on songs. We sent each other recording sessions back and forth, working on ideas together. Lots of group FaceTime calls late at night. We are glad that we challenged ourselves to work on all this music in the middle of a pandemic and that we didn’t let any negative energy creep in. We are really lucky and thankful for the technology that allowed us to work on these songs together with the click of a button and a wifi signal. This would have been an impossible task back when Ignite started.
