Nach fünf Jahren melden sich Saves The Day zurück: Die Emo Band wird am 26. Oktober ihr neues Album „9“ auf den Markt bringen. Passend zur Ankündigung präsentiert die Band außerdem eine erste Single namens „Rendezvous“.
Frontmann Chris Conley dazu:
„This album is the story of Saves The Day and my own personal journey through life, which all unfolded as my relationship with music progressed. By Rendezvous, I’ve gone through all the reflecting and growing and come to a place where I’m so grateful and so satisfied and living the life I want to live. I was just a kid that got lucky and I got pulled into this amazing dream. And it’s still going.“
Das Album wird insgesamt neun Songs enthalten, in Summe die Geschichte der Band aus Sicht von Gründer Conley erzählen und entsprechend autobiografisch funktionieren. So erzählt „9“ die Geschichte einer Gruppe von Kids aus New Jersey, die ihren Traum verwirklicht haben. Auf einer tieferen Ebene erklärt Conley sein eigenes Bewusstsein und seine Beziehung zur Musik.
