Musik verbindet: Das hat sich auch Kier Kemp, besser bekannt als Inklings, zu Herzen genommen. Gemeinsam mit Hannah „Hermione“ Greenwood von Creeper und Ethan Smith von Thousand Thoughts entstand in diesem Sinne ein Cover zum My Chemical Romance-Klassiker „Helena“. Inklings erklärt:
„Keeping sane in lockdown has been a challenge for lots of us, especially when you’re missing your friends. More than anything I wanted to stay connected and creative with my music friends that I’d usually be seeing IRL. So that’s what this cover is about really, sharing our love for a band and staying connected.“
Diesen Freitag erscheint auch die neue EP „Is This Who You Are?“, die insgesamt vier neue Songs enthalten wird. Dabei kommt sie um einiges düsterer daher, als die vorherigen Releases und ehrt vor allem die musikalischen Einflüsse des Künstlers wie Wham! und My Chemical Romance. Inklings:
“The first EP was about putting myself back together after the divorce that was FVK (Fearless Vampire Killers)… and this one is about wrestling with the fallout from that. It’s got a positive edge to it though. Even if the songs are super emo.”
