Auch wenn Stone Sour in nächster Zeit eine Ruhephase einlegen werden, müssen Fans nicht auf neues Material der Hard Rock Band rund um Corey Taylor verzichten: Ab Januar sollen jede Woche bisher unveröffentlichte Songs, Demos und Livematerial präsentiert werden.
Gitarrist Josh Rand erklärt:
“I think it’s going to be really cool, and it’ll give an insight into how we work as a band. It’s an interesting thing to hear stuff in its raw form and not polished like you hear in a finished record. There’s a rawness to it that’s cool.”
Weiter soll für den Sommer 2020 etwas Besonderes geplant sein, erklärt Rand weiter: “It’s a mixture of everything — some live stuff, some demo stuff, some new material that has not been heard. It’ll be really cool, and we’re all really excited about it, but I can’t say too much yet.”
Aktuell soll zwar ein neues Album in Planung sein, ein Releasetermin steht allerdings bisher noch nicht. Grund dafür ist unter anderem, dass Corey Taylor 2020 mit Slipknot unterwegs ist, um das aktuelle Album „We Are Not Your Kind“ (Albumreview) vorzustellen. Mit „Hello, You Bastards: Live In Reno“ haben Stone Sour am 13. Dezember ein neues Live-Album präsentiert. Im Juni letzten Jahres war die Band im Zuge ihrer Tour in der Swiss Life Hall in Hannover zu Gast (Konzertbericht).
