The Casualties veröffentlichten Ende 2018 via Cleopatra Records ihr elftes Studioalbum mit dem Titel „Written In Blood“ (News). Damit waren sie Anfang diesen Jahres auch auf Tour durch Europa und in Hannover zu Gast (Konzertbericht).
Auf der aktuellen Platte findet sich auch der anti-Trump Track „Borders“, dem die Band nun ein Musikvideo gewidmet hat. Regie dabei führte David Bessenhoffer. Sänger David Rodriguez sagt über den Song und das Video:
“This is a stripped down video from our hearts that cuts to the bone. We wanted to show the band in our most raw form and give the viewer an idea of the different face that this “ border issue” affects.“
Weiterhin sagt er:
„We also are not holding back on how we feel about Trump. This is machine gun fire lyrically pointed right between the eyes of this asshole and anyone who follows him! The video is visually and musically a protest song of our generation and we’ve had enough! – Fuck your President and Fuck your Wall”
