Am 24. April veröffentlicht The Homeless Gospel Choir sein neues Album „This Land Is Your Landfill„. Daraus präsentiert der Musiker mit „Art Punk“ nun eine neue Single. Zuvor wurden bereits die beiden Singles „Don’t Compare“ und „Young And In Love“ ins Rennen geschickt.
Unter dem Synonym The Homeless Gospel Choir verbirgt sich der Singer-Songwriter Derek Zanetti, der den neuen Song wie folgt kommentiert:
„When you create something to share with the world –whether it’s a sculpture or a cartoon or a jingle– a strong bond is developed between the subject and artist… A familiarity exists that becomes more comfortable than experiencing human interaction. Art Punk is about the allure of being a recluse and the torture that goes along with it… a sing‐alone/sing-along pop song about the anxiety that artists, punks, and fuck ups often feel. We hope our song sticks with you but your anxiety does not…“
Die Produktion des neuen Albums leitete Chris #2, Bassist und Sänger der Polit-Band Anti-Flag, die Zanetti erst kürzlich auf deren EU-Dates begleitete.
