Der in Brooklyn lebende Folk-Rock-Songwriter Tom Freeman veröffentlicht unter dem Synonym Covey die brandneue Single „Cut On The Crease“ samt Videoclip. Der Sänger kommentiert den Hintergrund zu dem Clip:
„Benjamin and Gabe’s stories were the first two in the TikTok series, so they laid the foundation and Suzie’s story wrapped it all up whilst finally providing an explanation for all the deaths, so it felt natural that these were the characters we chose to bring to life in the music video. Plus these characters were some fan favorites. I’m excited for fans to see the stories told in this totally different medium and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, the personalities definitely come across in the video how I intended them to and how fans have come to know them. Through all the lore, fan theories, cosplay and fan art, the character identities have only gotten more and more vivid, so much so that they began to transcend their small toy bodies even before this video.“
Über die Platform TikTok erreichte Covey in kürzester Zeit bereits bis zu 18.8 Millionen Views auf einzelne Videos, sowie über 1 Million Follower. Kürzlich erschien mit „Tour To Nobody“ ein Release, das die Live-Qualitäten des Musikers eindrucksvoll dokumentiert. Nach dem Ausbruch der Corona-Pandemie und der damit einhergehenden Absage von Touren beschloss Freeman, eine Tour der anderen Art zu spielen – die „Tour To Nobody“. Dafür reiste er gemeinsam mit seinem Freund und Videografen Matt Marino vom 8. bis 19. September durch die USA und nahm die Songs des Albums in verlassenen Tourismus-Hotspots auf.
Gleichzeitig kündigt der gebürtige Brite das Studioalbum „Class Of Cardinal Sin“ auf Rise Records an.
