Nach einer Pause vom Touren kehrten Issues im Mai mit „Tapping Out“ zurück. Die Band aus Atlanta verfeinerte ihren charakteristischen Mix aus Metal Groove, Hip-Hop-Phrasierungen, alternativen Klangfarben und ausgefallenem Pop-Appeal und lieferte somit eine Hymne, in der Sänger Tyler Carter’s wendiger Gesang aus dem R&B-Raum in eine kraftvolle Schwere schlüpft. Nun schenkt die Band dem Song ein Video. Tyler Carter, der Frontmann der Band sagt über den Schreibprozess:
„Over-working, self-doubt, self-hatred, depression and anxiety, and not breathing fresh air enough.“
„Some of the things we wrote about were the real struggles we faced while on a hiatus and while making this album. ‚Win or lose‘ is kinda where we are with this, and we have every ounce of our souls set on winning.
