In Kürze wird Nathan Gray die Aufnahmen zu seinem neuen Album „Rebel Songs“ beginnen. Die Finanzierung des Werkes gestaltet sich jedoch schwieriger als sonst, da der Boysetsfire-Sänger nun schon fast ein Jahr auf das Touren verzichten muss. Finanzieren sollte sich „Rebel Songs“ via Crowd-Funding.
Da das Ziel der Kampagne so kurz vor Beginn der Studiozeit noch nicht gänzlich erreicht wurde, hat sich Nathan Gray nun etwas Besonderes einfallen lassen: Ihr könnt nun exklusives Merch in seinem Store kaufen, dessen Einnahmen die Aufnahmen zu „Rebel Songs“ ermöglichen werden. Dabei sind die Motive ein klares Zeichen für Empathie, Liebe und gegen Unterdrückung, Rassismus und Faschismus.
„The Three Arrows have long stood as a symbol of defiance and resistance – their stark lines meant to stamp out a symbol of hate and represent the strength of the working class in physical, economic, and political pillars. A few years ago, I modified that symbol to represent those same ideals, wrapped in hope, love, and empathy. I replaced the arrows with flowers or “White Roses” inspired by and in memory of brilliant political activists like Sophie and Hans Scholl who gave their lives to oppose tyranny and oppression. „
