Was für eine Überraschung! Ohne Ankündigung haben Rise Againsteine neue EP rausgehauen! Anlässlich des einjährigen Jubiläums ihres neunten Albums „Nowhere Generation“ hat die Band nun die fünf Song Fortsetzung „Nowhere Generation II“ vorgestellt. Die fünf Songs wurden zusammen mit dem Material des Albums geschrieben und aufgenommen und sind ab sofort erhältlich.
Zusätzlich haben Rise Against das Video zum Song „Last Man Standing“ präsentiert, bei dem Ryan Valdez Regie führte und der Band half, den Inhalt visuell umzusetzen.
‘Last Man Standing’ was a way of expressing some frustration with our world in regards to exploitation, public alienation and human inequality. As you see in the video, we are fed through this race of survival. Only to be taken down, regardless of our success or efforts. Auch Frontmann Tim McIlrath findet deutliche Worte für die Motivation hinter „Last Man Standing“, aber auch für das Wesen der Band selbst:
I think of Rise Against as dystopian art. Like any good dystopian art endeavor, you’re singing about the world and what it might be like if we keep going down the road we’re going down. It’s the inevitable conclusion of what would happen if we keep making the same decisions.
