Matthew Hiscock – seines Zeichens Schlagzeuger der britischen Post Hardcore Band Acres – hat seinen Ausstieg bekannt gegeben. Dies teilte er den Fans über die Facebookseite der Band mit.
„The 5 years I have spent in the band have been nothing short of life changing, an incredible experience in all aspects“, so Matthew in dem Post. „This band has not just been a hobby for me, but a way of life, and I’d like to thank my family and friends for their undying support in this venture. You guys, the fans, have been unparalleled in the love you have given me in this band, and for that I’ll be forever grateful. Acres fans are truly unique in their show of support.“
Auch seinen Bandkollegen dankt er für die gemeinsame Zeit: „Being in a band and touring together is more than just a friendship, it is a brotherhood and they have been like a second family to me, through good times and bad.“ Grund für seinen Ausstieg ist, dass sich sein Leben in eine andere Richtung entwickelt, die sich mit Acres nicht mehr voll und ganz vereinbaren lässt. „Sometimes in life this happens, and we can only accept this. It is not with regret for leaving but with fondness that I will look back on this time.“
Ihre neueste EP „In Sickness & Health“ veröffentlichten Acres im Februar dieses Jahres.
