Obwohl sie noch keine einzige Live-Show zum aktuellen Album „Carnivore“ spielen konnten, kündigen Body Count bereits die Arbeiten an ihrem nächsten Langspieler an. Der hat mit „Merciless“ sogar schon einen Titel – wann das Werk auf den Markt kommt ist allerdings noch nicht bekannt. Auf ihren sozialen Medien schrieb die Band:
„Even though we have not been able to perform ONE single concert to support the CARNIVORE album because of the Global Pandemic.. We’ve made the decision to Officially start the NEW BC Album ‘MERCILESS’ 2021 …Stay tuned…“
Zuletzt gewannen Body Count mit ihrem Song „Bum-Rush“ den Grammy für „Best Metal Performance“. 2020 erschien ihr Album „Carnivore“ (Albumreview).
