Die Pop Punk Band State Champs veröffentlicht am 15. Juni ihr neues Album „Living Proof„. Mit „Our Time To Go“ präsentiert die Band eine neue Single samt Video. Zuvor wurde bereits der Song „Dead And Gone“ ins Rennen geschickt, ebenfalls samt Video.
Mit „Living Proof“ veröffentlichen State Champs ihr mittlerweile drittes Studioalbum. Frontmann Derek DiScanio dazu:
„It was like, let’s take as many swings at it, try as many new things and experiment, until we get to the point where we could start searching through it all and then find the album.“
Für das Songwriting holte sich die Band niemand Geringeres als Alex Gaskarth von All Time Low und Mark Hoppus von Blink-182 mit ins Boot. DiScanio zur Zusammenarbeit mit Hoppus:
“We had no idea he was even coming in. Then the next day, me and Mark Hoppus are just sitting out by John Feldmann’s pool writing lyrics from scratch. And that ultimately ended up being ‘Dead And Gone,’ which is the first single on the record.”
Thematisch geht es auf dem Album um alles, um das sich das Leben so dreht: Trennungen, Liebe und Verlust.
