Traurige Nachrichten für alle The Locust Fans: der Drummer der Band, Gabe Serbian, ist am 30. April im Alter von nur 44 Jahren verstorben. Die Band veröffentlichte auf ihren sozialen Kanälen dazu ein kurzes Statement:
It’s with heavy hearts that we have to share the passing of Gabe Serbian on April 30th, 2022. This world will miss Gabe as a friend, family member, musician, and artist. He will continue to live on in so many ways and through everyone he has connected with during his time with us. May 1st is his birthday, and we hope that you can find a way to celebrate his life.<span class="su-quote-cite">The Locust</span>
Serbian war neben den Elctrogrind Pionieren noch in zahlreichen anderen Bands tätig, u.a. in Dead Cross, Retox und Holy Molar, um nur einige zu nennen. Um seine Familie bei den anfallenden Kosten zu unterstützen hat die Band eine gofundme-Kampagne gestartet.
